Roger is getting older....and cooler!!!

So I know that Rog's birthday was on Nov. 1st which was a while ago but I just wanted to celebrate it again just because I think I have the best husband in the whole world. Happy Birthday Rog and thanks for working so hard for me and Johnny!

Happy Halloween!

It feels like Halloween has already come and gone. We had our Ward Kiddie Carnival and Trunk or Treat on Friday and Roger and I went to a fun party on Saturday night so we have already got lots of candy. Johnny and I dressed up as bees or wasps whatever you prefer for the Kiddie Carnival. It was lots of fun and Johnny got all wore out. Notice the coyote cookie jar that Grandma is giving all the kids the treats with. When you open it it howls and Johnny is VERY afraid of it. He knows that there is candy inside but he won't even go close to it even if he wants a piece of candy.

Then on Saturday night Roger and I went to a Halloween party dressed as a hunter and a deer. Thanks Christina and Celeste (even though you didn't know you were helping) for the idea. It was lots of fun! We felt like we were in college. Roger had just taken his 8 hour exam that day in Salt Lake so he was pretty worn out but he was still a really good sport.

My little Farmer

I think Johnny has the whole farming thing in his blood! The cows are coming home in a few week and will be at our place and I think he is going to go crazy.

Missing Camera

I am missing my camera!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Has anyone seen it?

Sunday, August 17, 2008

So now its my turn.....YEE HAW!

So I thought this idea was super cute and I have wanted to do it for a really long time...so I hope you all aren't memory laned (is that a word?) out!!!!

As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Youth Conference

Just look at those guys! You don't even know them and you already love them huh! Roger and I had the awesome fantastic experience of putting together youth conference with these fantastic four! I have never had so much fun putting together a project then I did with these guys! They were so great and taught Rog and I so much! Thanks so much for letting us in on the fun guys! You guys are the best!

Good Friends

In college I was so blessed to have such awesome roommates! They have become such great friends! I remember often the fun that we had together. Boy...those were the days! Angela Soffe was one of those awesome people. She and I dated our husbands together and got married the same year. We have babies that are only three months apart. I just love Angela, her husband Timmy, and her baby Zach. They are such great people. They have just moved to Michigan to start Grad school and we are going to miss them like crazy. Another great friend is Kristen Hudson. She is pure spunk and you just can't help but LOVE her! She went on a mission to Brazil and got home last fall and now she is engaged to be married in December...ohh I just love weddings! So anyway....we got together in Provo canyon to wish Angela and Timmy good luck in their move to Michigan. It was so fun to play with each other again. I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends!!

First Rodeo

We went to the Heber Fair Days Rodeo and John loved it! As we were getting ready to go to the rodeo we got him in the bath then instead of dressing him in his pj's we got him in his pearl button and wranglers, which is the cutest thing that I have ever seen! He was kind of confused cause it was time to go to bed when we left but was a great sport the whole night. He was so tired that he feel asleep while we were watching the fireworks at the end.

Family Reunion Fun

The week after John's birthday we (John and I) left to Island Park with my family for a week of fun. We had a great time being with all of my family except Rog who couldn't make it cause of his class we missed him like crazy but there were plenty of hands to watch Johnny. We went tubing, water skiing, and people went wake boarding (I just stick with water skiing because I know that I can do it....how boring is that!). We went to West Yellowstone to see a the play 'Oklahoma'. It was great! Then we drove back to Idaho Falls and went to the St. Anthony Days Parade. It was Johnny's first parade and he LOVED getting all the candy and seeing all of the big tractors and horses. It was a lot of fun but we were so glad to get back home and see Dad again!

John's 1st Birthday

John Axel turned the big one zero on July 20th. I can hardly believe that he is one already! He is turning into quite the curious little boy. I can't believe how big he is! He runs around the house with his little play radio(courtesy of Christina) and jumps and dances while he looks for something cool to play with. He is so fun and happy, except when he doesn't get good naps of course. We are just so glad that he is ours.
Look how tiny he was when he was born. He is the one on the left...ohhh so little!

For his birthday my we had a little BBQ out back and my sister and her family from Arizona were even able to come along with my parents and the Pearson clans. He had a soccer ball cake and had so much fun opening his presents. Each time he would open one he would say "oooohhhhh". It was so much fun.

What do you do when your husband is gone for a week?

Roger went to scout camp last week.

Last year I was pregnant with John and I had to work so I was at home by myself the whole time (except when Cindy came to visit) anyway I didn't like it very much. Infact I think you could use the term strongly dislike!

This year was different! Even though I missed Rog like crazy I still had a wonderful time! Johnny and I took off not long after the scouts left on Monday to go to my Mom and Dad's house in Santaquin. We stayed until Thursday. It was so much fun! Usually when I go I am only able to say while Rog is in class at the Y so its about 2 hours or so then I go and pick Roger up and we head home. It was great to go and just be there! Johnny was a bit sick but it was still so much fun. Then on Sunday my sisters Ashley and Camille suprised me and showed up at my house in Heber to have a sleepover! IT WAS SO GREAT!! Cindy came over and they gave me a pedicure and Ashley painted my toes all cute. I am so glad they braved the canyon and came up to visit. What great sisters and sister-in-laws I have!

This is my way of relaxing and dreaming about my beautiful yard I'll have someday!

Nothing like 4th of July at the Ranch!

We had a great time this year at the ranch. It was a bit different since John was with us but he loved it! We spent 3 days and two nights and boy was Johnny dirty when we got home. It is such a fun place and I am so glad that I am lucky enough to go with such a great family. There was an awesome presentation for all of the returned missonaries, a great breakfast, an fantastic dutch oven lunch, swimming in the ponds, horse rides, fishing, naping, and just loving being in the outdoors.

This is Johnny on his first horse ride with Dad.

He loved seeing all of the cows and horses. He is starting to say mooo now.....it is so cute!

As we all know Johnny LOVES water and Kev and Kristen brought their little pool so they could play in some nice cold creek water. They had HUMONGO diapers but they sure loved playing in it.

We had a great time and we are excited for next years 4th of July at the Ranch!

Taking After His Father!

Johnny is a cowboy and this video proves this budding skill. Please note that this doesn't mean that he will be able to rodeo...only mutton busting beacause as we all know his mother won't be able to stomach it!

Grandpa Bingham's Funeral

My Grandpa Bingham's Funeral was on May 31. He was a week shy of turning 95 when he passed away. It sounds awful to say but it was a good thing for him. My Grandma passed away 16 years him and he was ready to be able to run and jump around again. I was able to see lots of family that I haven't seen in a really long time but we missed Jessica and Tennille and families. So here are some pictures at the cementary for you. It was a beautiful day in Newdale! The sky was FULL of clouds and there was a slight wind (just because it always blows in Idaho). On Friday night before the funeral we all went to the new Rexburg Temple. It was beautiful and it was so wonderful to be there with so much family. It made it so sweet to imagine Grandma Bingham leaping for joy when seeing Grandpa again. It is a good reminder to work hard and be faithful so that we too can be reunited with our loved ones again. How grateful I am for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the wonderful blessings of the atonement.

Johnny is 10 months old

Can you believe that Johnny is 10 months old already? Man time flies and the days just get better and better! He is learning so much everyday and keeps us on our toes. He is becoming quite the little comedian. Just a yesterday we were eating dinner at Roger's parents home and Roger was explaining that Johnny will eat anyting if you just put the spoon next to his mouth, even if it is green peas. Right as soon as he finished telling this to Pom Pom, Grandma, Cindy, Jason, and John who were all sitting down at the dinner table Johnny looks at Roger and sticks out his tongue and says "blahhh". It was so funny, I wish I had a video to show you all. So I decided to post a few favorite things about him and of course with all babies you can't get the cutest things on video or camera but here are a few.

Johnny has one tooth and boy it is an adventure for his little tongue (which really isn't all that little at all)! I love to watch him playing with his toys cause his tongue goes crazy!

He LOVES FOOD!!! The only thing he has a problem with is peas (hummm does that sound familiar?) He will eat anything and of course loves cookies and ice cream. For some reason he knows when someone is eating ice cream and will just sit there like a little puppy. This is a picture of him eating one of Christina's tasty cookies at one of the softball games. We love wipes!!!

He LOVE balls!! Roger and I decided that ball was his first word. Whenever he wakes up from naps he looks around and says ball ball. Roger taught him to throw as well and he does a wonderful job showing off his new skill at dinner time. Roger now wishes that he didn't teach him to throw quite so soon!

He LOVES to dance...and boy he sure has the moves he must have inherited it from Rog. Anytime we turn on the tunes he is sure to catch a beat and groove...what joy!

He LOVES his blanket! Don't try putting him to sleep without it...cause you won't win! I was so desperate for more options that I actually cut it into three pieces...and it is so great to have more than one favorite blanket even though they aren't very big. He will put it up to his mouth and make a sucking noise but won't put it into his mouth. It sure is a life saver sometimes, especially during Sacrament Meeting.

He LOVES water so much! Anytime we walk into the bathroom he thinks that he is the luckiest boy around because he thinks that he is going to be taking a tub. One day he was off playing and it got really quiet so I went to go and find him. The bathroom door was open and all you could see were two little legs behind the bathroom shower curtain. It was so funny! I was amazed that he didn't go for the toilet paper, the trash can, or even the toilet. This is of him in the Hot Tub behind our house (not ours but still pretty cool anyways) man goes CRAZY!!

Lastly we LOVE his smile. He brings us so much Joy it makes sense why having families are such a huge part of the Plan of Happiness. We are so grateful for him and that we were blessed enough to get to be his parents. Every time we see him we realize how much trust and love the Lord has for us. What a wonderful gift!

Please don't fall off your seats!!!

Ok, so I know that everyone is used to seeing a post about every three weeks but I have had some alone time with the Internet (boy that sounds like a little dicey) and I have had a great time blogging! So don't be shocked that you see a few posts since...umm yesterday. This post is going to be about the tag that I got from Kristen, which is also going to be the longest one that I have EVER written. Hang on to your hat Tex here we gooooooooo.

What were you doing ten years ago.
Ten years ago I would be recovering from an attack with the ugly stick. I had big round glasses that I was just about to get rid of and an awesome hair cut! I am sure that you can all picture it now. I had three best friends, my sister Jessica, Aly Clare, and Alyse Orton. We would have sleepovers in the Clare's tree house, watch Doris Day and Cary Grant movies. We weren't quite into the whole boy scene yet but I did have a HUGE crush on Casey Egbert. It was too bad though cause I was as shy as a potato bug. I was just starting my high school dreams. I played volleyball and LOVED IT!!! I even loved going to practice, the smell of the gym full of sweaty girls...mmmm what great memories. Jessica and I worked at the BYU Dairy cleaning the offices, milk room, and labs....it was a dirty, dirty job ....but we did it. I loved going to young womens and girls camp. It was a great time but was definitely a time of getting to know myself...whew am I glad that it is over....or is it still going on?

5 Things on my list to do today:
Go pick up Johnny (I am working today)
Wait for Rog to come home from school
Help Roger's mom with dinner
Bind a quilt
Play with Johnny until bedtime - usually 8:00

What are my favorite snacks:
Boy was this question meant for me! If you know me you know i LOVE to eat....and usually I'll eat it all. My favorite snack would have to be popcorn, especially when I was pregnant. I love carrot sticks, munching on raw cabbage and yams, peas from the garden, watermelon, apples, grapes, apricots, peaches and strawberries. I LOVE yogurt and go through it like you wouldn't believe! My favorite dinner dish is Asparagus and Ham casserole. I got it every year on my birthday but Roger doesn't like it very much...so I try to make it when he can't be home to eat. I am not a huge fan of Chinese (ever since I was pregnant) unless it is homemade. I love Mexican food and Italian. I love hot dogs and brats. Boy...where should I end?

What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire?
All I have to say is....WATCH OUT CATHOLIC THRIFT HERE I COME!!! But of course you would have to pay tithing first! Then I would buy the 37 acres that we live on currently. I would build a beautiful but modest home, and then pay for my parent's home. I would plant an orchard, grow an awesome garden, and put up a clothes line! oh and I almost forgot about the windmill! Roger and I would get some livestock and purchase some farm equipment. We would finish paying for Roger's Masters and put quite a bit away for our kid's education and mission funds (but not let them know that they have it so they will still work for it). I would purchase a triathlon bike for Roger so he could do as many as he wants to. I would make sure that the local elementary schools have enough for the kids. I would take Roger to Wisconsin and then we would go to either Hawaii or Alaska. This is an interesting question...because the more I think about what I want, I realize that I already have it! I have an amazing husband who treats me as an equal and who is a wonderful father to our son. I have the joy of being a mother to the best little boy who makes Roger and I so happy. I have the blessings of safety, love, nourishment, and most of all the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Who needs a billion dollars when you know what is up ahead?

5 Places I have lived:
Rexburg, Idaho - Man what a great place!
Elberta, Utah
Spanish Fork, Utah
Zion National Park - Ok...on a resort that bordered it..what a great summer!
Rosedale, California

5 Things that people don't know about me-
1-I was in the Miss Dairy pageant...moo moo
2-I love to go clay pigeon shooting
3-I have been up to my chin in cow poop...not a good experience at all!
4-When i am old I am going to ride around on a neon green scooter with a big red hat!
5-My favorite holiday is 4th of July because of BBQs, fireworks, parades...and SUMMER!

3 Bad Habits-
1- usually I talk before I think...and sometimes it gets me into a LOT of trouble.
2- I am almost always late...I am trying hard to work on it..promise!
3- When I am introducing people...for some reason I always forget their names...I hate it!

Whew, what a post...this is probably goin to be the last one for like two months!!
I tag: Jessica Allred, Vinnie Feller, Ali Brown, Chelsea Dixon, and CINDYYYYY!!! On your mark get set gooooooooooooo!

Johnny is on the MOVEEEE!

On Easter Johnny decided that it was time to start crawling. Ever since then he moves around like CRAZY. Of course he falls every once in a while but he doesn't mind if he can get what he is trying to reach. It is great to see him just play, play, play. He sure has a stylish crawl! We call it the peg leg crawl. BOY WE LOVE HIM.....I am so glad that I get to be a mom forever...cause I don't think I'd like to do anything else!

Happy Easter

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter! We had a great time with our family, not to mention the great food as well! Johnny is getting so big and so much fun! He had his first ear infection last week so it wasn't his best but he is almost back to being himself. He is EIGHT months...I can't believe it and almost crawling....almost.

Moving...movin' movin'

John moves around like crazy...not quite crawling yet..but close! He just hates his stomach! When ever I leave him on the floor by himself to play for a minute I always come back and find him in weird spots. Everyday is an adventure and I LOVE IT!

Baby Jared

My sister Malissa just had a new little boy named Jared. He is such a cute guy. Roger and I went up to visit for the weekend and I went to go help a few days later when she had him. Her kids LOVE Roger so much!! They were playing hide-and-go-seek and they found Roger in quite the spot. We had a fun visit. We also got to go and see the Rexburg Temple. Roger and I miss Rexburg and all of our Woodman Apt Gang. We had such a fun time there and made some great memories with some great friends.

Christmas

So I know that we haven't posted for a while but I just wanted to share a few pictures of our Christmas. We had a great year and to cap it off we had a wonderful time sharing the Holiday season with our families. Since both of our families are so close we were able to spend it with both sides. Johnny didn't care very much about the excitement of Christmas morning. He woke up at 7:30 and went down for a nap around 8:30, what a guy. We also had a fun time going to Roger's work Christmas party. He works for Summit Engineering here in Heber and loves it. They are great employers and we are so grateful for their generosity. On the invitation it said best dress so my sisters Ashley and Camille and I took of to the Thrift in town and as you can see we found a snazzy outfit...a little bit more than I was picturing but they talked me into it. Then Cindy came over and they all did my hair. Needless to say...I was the most dressed up that night...but I guess somebody has got to be the one that goes WAY over the limits. Not to mention that when I "spread my wings" I looked like an Egyptian flying snake but it turned out to be a very fun night with good food and great people! Johnny got this great jumper for Christmas from my sister, Malissa. He LOVES IT SO MUCH!!!! Hopefully I'll be able to get the movie to work of him jumping. We hope you all had a great Christmas!
