Our family July 4, 2010

The potluck. There were 150ish people there this year. It makes for a yummy potluck.

Johnny getting Grandpa Pearson

Ethan and John LOVED to play in the creek even though it was kind of cold.

During our Tractor ride out to see the cows.

A very tired Ethan who wouldn't do anything without a cup of M&Ms. Result is written on his face.

Luke and Johnny getting ready for our tractor ride.

Aunt LeAnn, Grandma Pearson, Aunt Jana. The cooking of the breakfast.

Ethan playing around - actually trying to be like Johnny.

Johnny and Luke playing around with some cool sticks they found.

Playing with the way sweet toys that are kept in the cabin during the Ranch breakfast.

Johnny and Luke watching a video in Uncle Kev's van. A movie at the Ranch.....thats crazy. Only because they don't even have bathrooms(they do have out houses) or running water.
Does it look like they had enough fun? Feel asleep three minutes from getting in the car to come home.
One tired Dad.
This year, just like every other year, we went to the Burt Miller Ranch for the 4th of July. It was my favorite year by FAR! I don't know if it was because I wasn't nursing or have a baby that was small and needed 24-7 supervision or if it was because I was able to branch out and really talk and be with people. I don't know why, but it was so fun! I was able to just relax! We went up Friday night and slept (all four of us) in a 4 man two man tent inside a double sleeping bag. It was very suggly and kept us very warm. The kids did really good sleeping on the ground and Ethan did super not being in a crib or a porta crib. The next day was the super yummy Ranch breakfast and then the pot luck at noon. We bought a dutch over and made something for the first time in it. It turned out super yummy and was fun to cook. I am excited about using it more often. It was fun to spend time with Roger's family and get to know them better.

After we got back from the Ranch the Binghams came up for a BBQ. It was fun to see them even though we got them sick. We had some hamburgers, played outside for a bit, and gave Dad Bingham his Fathers Day present (only two weeks late). I think he really liked it though so it was worth the wait. Jessica Allred was visiting for 10 days so it was really good to see her again. I am so grateful for her! I wish that she lived closer or....that I owned a plane so that I could fly there for a day or two.
