"Its not my fault Mom".
Potty training has once begun again. It is going better this time but we are not trained yet.....the first and second day was great so I had high hopes. But here we are still..... The funny thing is John doesn't care if he wears diapers and isn't a big boy. He just tells me when I ask him why he doesn't want to wear big boy pants and be a big boy that "its not my fault Mom." What to do?

Ethan is now walking!
Ethan is 11 months old in five days and is walking. He is picking it up pretty quickly and is really cute. The movie is super long so just be prepared. You might even want to make some popcorn!
We had a fun visit with our good friend Martha who came up for Kade's birthday party on Saturday. Johnny loves "Marpha". Martha
is teaching herself the piano and this is what happens when she would try to practice. PARTY!! Thanks for coming Martha we hope
you don't get sick!

Play Time
John and Ethan have been playing so cute lately that I just had to write it down! Johnny is such a great older brother and loves it when Ethan can play with him (most of the time). He does have a few spots in the house where he goes to escape from Ethan but it doesn't take long for Ethan to find him!
John LOVES to watch a show in the morning. He sits in his favorite corner of the couch and is glued. The other morning he wanted Ethan to watch with him so I put Ethan on his lap and they both watched. It was so cute!
These next two pictures needs a little bit of explaining. Ethan was sick a weekend ago so Rog, Ethan, and John stayed home from church. Rog said that they things went really well except for a small mishap. Rog went to bathroom so he told John to watch Ethan and to make sure he didn't get into trouble. So he did. Then Rog heard John scream "ETHAN....NO" the next thing he hears is crying. John comes running into the bathroom tell him that Ethan is playing with markers. Rog comes out and finds Ethan with a battle mark and his marker pile. Ethan had gotten into the markers and John being the wise older brother knew that was a bad idea so he grabbed the marker that Ethan had, which also had the top off, and then there was the fight. Ethan won, he has an amazing grip, and as John let go of Ethan's prized marker it came back and got him right in the face. It was the nice color of red so you can only guess my thoughts when I came home and saw a big red streak across his face. What an adventure!
Basketball
One of the things that John LOVES to do is to play basketball. We watched an old Feature Films for Families movie called "Pistol Pete" at my parents house a few weeks ago and John loved it. It of course was about basketball. In the movie it shows Pete practicing basketball moves a lot and since Johnny is quite the observant child he caught on. The next day he was playing basketball with his friend and I caught him trying to pull off some of Pistol Pete's moves. Bouncing the ball through his legs. I got a good laugh out of it and called Rog and so did he on the phone. John says "hoot" for hoop. It is so funny when he says "shoot it in the hoot". He is the best!
Sorry about the small earthquake that happened while filming. Like I said earlier Ethan has a fantastic grip.
This is a movie during our treat after dinner. Johnny says Popsicle "pobsible" and it is really cute. It is a good movie for all those far away so you can see how much these two are growing up.
John loves to make Ethan laugh and is good about playing with him when I am trying to get something done. This is one of Ethan's favorite ways that John makes him laugh. I have tried to do it and he doesn't laugh for me....but he will for John!
So for all those moms of little ones out there I have a question. As you may or may not have noticed John was wearing diapers in some pictures or movies and then big boy pants in the other. I guess that sums up our potty training. Helpful hints would be SUPER!

SNOW TIME
In the mornings the mist that rises from the creek in back is so pretty and when the sun shines on it "its almost as if these hill could sing". Name that movie!
Johnny is playing with his friend Fisher that we watched a few days. They LOVED climbing on the mountain
Ethan watching the snow fall....ok so maybe just pounding on the window but I was watching the snow fall. BURRRR
