So...this is probably why I don't blog much. The pictures are in backwards order...so just reverse them in your mind.
We are happy to announce the Graduation of Roger Pearson
After the Convocation with Professor Hotchkiss. He has been an awesome mentor for Roger and Rog is really going to miss working with him. But when it comes time (and if Rog really wants to) for his PhD then they will be able to work together again.

Johnny just wanted to be with his Dad the WHOLE time and didn't understand why he couldn't go and sit with him. I guess his hair shows how crazy he is! I even put some gel in it before we went into the Smith Fieldhouse.

The Man
GRADUATION DAY!We had a wonderful day today at Rog's Graduation. The Convocation exercises was yesterday and the Commencement exercises were Thrusday. Elder D. Todd Christofferson spoke yesterday. He spoke about always having that desire to learn and to spend your lifetime learning instead of stopping since you have just graduated. Today at convocation King Husein spoke. He is an owner of a company who does steal construction. They have built many Costco buildings around the world. The neat thing was that part of his focus was keeping the Sabbath Day holy. He said that he started his own business because he had to. Which I thought was interesting comment to make and then he continued by saying that he decided not to work on Sunday and if he worked with other companies then he would have to, so he started his own business. That is cool all by its self but then he contracted with Costco to build their buildings and they told him in order to keep the schedule (which is 120 days from groundbreaking to finish) they made to finish the buildings in he would have to have his company work on Sunday. He told Costco no and then they told him that if he didn't meet the schedule than there would be severe consequences. He has been building Costco's for 15 years and has always been able to meet the deadlines. He said that the equation for success was 'Your Vision'+'Your Hard Work'+'The guidance from the Holy Ghost'= SUCCESS! It was a great talk.
The boys were good during the whole thing only because Roger's Mom and Dad took them out and played with them out in the halls. They were great. I got to listen and take as many pictures as I wanted to. I am so proud of Rog. I just almost started to cry (I teared up) when all the of the graduates came marching in. All this time we have been looking forward to today and it is here...and now it has gone. It is crazy to think about that we are moving on. We have talked so often about things that we are going to do "after" we are done with school. We loved school and I am sure we could have appreciated it more than we did but it sure feels good to be done. You can just tell by looking at Rog that some weight has been lifted off his shoulders. He has "done good" and I am so proud and thankful that he is my best friend and husband!
