So I was able to go on a Mom vacation for a weekend in September. The adventure began with Roger taking the boys and me leaving on Wednesday night. It was harder than I thought it would be to leave them....does it get harder with more kids? The next day my mom, sister Tiffany, and I left for our adventure. We drove to Las Vegas where we got on a very comfortable (actually I was trying to be very positive right there) plane and headed to Bentonville, Arkansas. We went to see Jessica and her family. An added bonus was that I was able to see my sister in law and brother in law. John and Cristy live about three minutes away from my sister. We were able to go to dinner and a restaurant that loved old tools, chicken figurines, and hanging barbwire up on the walls. We flew out on Sunday and even though it felt short it felt like forever since I had seen Rog and boys. When I got back Ethan seemed HUGE....which he is already and Johnny seemed so much smarter! It was tons of fun to be a ....me! As well as hang up my apron of a Mom for a few days. It made me realize how much I do love wearing that apron everyday and sometimes most of the night. It was weird though cause you think you'd do things differently without kids....but I found that not to be the case. Don't get me wrong I slept LOTS and took super long showers (thanks Jessica and Shea) but when we were at Church on Sunday I thought that I'd be a good listener and really soak in what they were talking about but instead I found myself drawing a home plan of a future home someday. Weird....without kids I still don't listen at Church. It sure was nice to eat without kids though, I will say that much! Roger was so super....he is so super and the boys had some awesome Dad time along with Cindy and Grandma Pearson time. My sister, Tiffany took mucho more pictures so maybe someday you'll see more than just the end of the visit! Oh and I colored my hair for the first time ever. I am sure that I wouldn't have done it if I didn't have Jessica and Tiff there. But the end result is a happy me....cause I actually like it this time!

Have you ever seen a kangaroo ride a bike?
Well I have....and I do almost everyday! Introducing Johnny the Kangaroo! This is his Halloween costume that we got from a friend that he absolutely LOVES! He asks to wear it all the time. It makes me laugh so hard when I see him dash outside and head to the shed to find his bike. He wears it eating, playing, and would probably wear it to bed if his tail didn't get in the way. He calls himself the Dad when he is in it because there is a little kangaroo in his front pouch that is his baby. Ethan loves when John wears it too. He will just chase him and hang on to his tail. So if you are ever in need of a good laugh come on over. They happen often with our kangaroo!
