Ethan Rix Pearson

He is here! Ethan Rix was born on March 13 at 12:15 and it was a great experience! Roger and I were just in awe the whole time. We got to the hospital that morning and were started at 8:15. Then fours later we were having a baby and it was so cool! It was much cooler than having a c-section. We had a fantastic nurse and Rog even got to watch some basketball, but to top it all off we successfully completed vbac delivery and our son is healthy. Johnny was excited to see us in the hospital and had fun playing on the bed and he even gave Ethan a kiss. Ethan has dark hair and a dimple in his cheek. He looks a lot like a Pearson (my parents are starting to wonder when one of their grandchildren are going to look like them). He has really long toes and fingers and cute little ears. Rog and I are in love with him and we are excited to watch him grow up, although we are OK if that doesn't happen for a while. We have been very blessed this weekend and feel very grateful for the help that we received!!!!!

Where has time gone?

Johnny and I visited my sister in Mesa last month and had a great time! It was perfect weather the whole time and Johnny just couldn't get enough of being outside. He would wake up and say "side side" and wouldn't even want to come in until it was dark. His checks would get so red because he would just run around like crazy so most of the time he was stripped down to his diaper. It was so much fun to watch him and it made me so excited about the upcoming summer. In this picture he had just gotten done eating (really picking through I guess) some trail mix that my brother-in-law had given him. The only thing he ate was the m&ms.

Johnny and I have gotten really good at just lounging around the house lately. Since I am due in one week (ok so really 10 days cause they moved my due date back) we have a nice little routine going for us which includes:

-Watching the movie Cars at least once a day because it is his favorite and he will sit through 3/4s of it while I am doing something else

-Johnny taking a bath almost every morning because it is easier to play with him in a confined place where the worst thing that could happen in to be splashed

-We go to visit Grandma and Cindy almost every afternoon after our nap.

What a life!

The sad news of our future is that we have to move :( We are just house sitting right now and unfortunately we have to leave. So we will probably move to Provo area. We are so sad and are going to miss so many things. Our garden, huge yard, awesome kitchen (not to mention the antler chandelier), the cows, the alfalfa, living so close to Grandma, Pom Pom, and Cindy, the ward and all of our good friends, my flower beds, and awesome back yard. It will be a change for sure but we are optimistic about what is going to work out for us. Roger just got a job for the summer working in the Hydraulic Department at the State. He will be working on his masters project as well so we are very excited about it. Life is good and we are excited to move forward!
